IVF is a treatment which assists pregnancy in those who have infertility problems.

The NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group is currently consulting the public on proposed changes to the availability of IVF.

The proposals include allowing same-sex couples and single women, across Stockport, access to the procedure.

Under the Rainbow spoke to Vikki Owen-Smith, the group’s Clinical Director of Public Health.

NHS North West has been working with the Lesbian and Gay Foundation to implement ‘Pride in Practice’.

It’s a new benchmarking tool that identifies GP surgeries that are committed to assuring that their lesbian, gay and bisexual patients are treated fairly and are able to discuss their issues openly.

Dennis Baldwin from the LGF spoke to Under the Rainbow about it.

NHS Stockport's LGBT Consultation

NHS Stockport are looking for the views of Stockport’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community, and Stockport residents who use HIV services.

The NHS’s Ellen Cooper told Stephen Bowyer from Under the Rainbow that they want people to fill in an online survey, and the results will help shape the way local services are provided.
