Cellar Cast 15

20 March 2010 by Pure Radio

Highlights from The Cellar Tapes, Pure 107.8 FMs alternative sixties show, aired on March 20th 2010.

The featured record for this particular week was the debut studio album by London band The Who, entitled My Generation from 1965.

This week also saw the sad loss of Alex Chilton, lead singer of The Box Tops and Producer of The Cramps debut album from 1980.

As well as a paying tribute to the great man, The Mancunian Candidate also played some other marvellous numbers from the 1960s, with the likes of The Easybeats, The Kinks, The Pretty Things, The Doors, and Donovan, all making an appearance in The Cellar.
